Detailed Itinerary - Day by Day:

Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Pre-tour accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost if required.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

After landing at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be transferred to Under the Shade Safari Lodge for check-in and relaxation.

If time allows, you may choose to enjoy an optional Arusha city tour. Visit the Cultural Heritage Art Gallery, explore the vibrant local market, and browse handcrafted souvenirs at the Maasai Market. This experience offers a wonderful introduction to Tanzanian culture before your safari begins.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins today. After breakfast, you will depart at approximately 7:40 am for Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-hour drive away.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees that dominate the landscape. During your game drive in an open-roof safari vehicle, you will explore seasonal swamps, sweeping savannahs, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. Keep watch for giraffes, zebras, impalas, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and a wide variety of birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the day, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will begin your journey toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours and passes through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands.

Weather permitting, you will stop briefly at the Ngorongoro Viewpoint to admire the breathtaking caldera before continuing toward the vast Serengeti plains.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route. Upon arrival in Serengeti, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to begin exploring the park’s abundant wildlife. As the sun sets over the plains, you will head to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent Serengeti. From sunrise to sunset, enjoy extensive game drives across the endless plains. This park is home to the legendary Big Five and more than 500 bird species.

Witness predators on the hunt, grazing herbivores, and breathtaking landscapes that define Africa’s wild beauty.

For an enhanced experience, optional activities such as a hot air balloon safari or a guided walking safari can be arranged at an additional cost.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

Rise early for a sunrise game drive at approximately 6:00 am, when wildlife is most active. After an exciting morning safari, enjoy a scenic bush breakfast at a picturesque picnic site.

Continue exploring the Serengeti until midday before stopping for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in the evening, where dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

Today you will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater at around 6:00 am with a packed breakfast.

The crater, covering approximately 260 square kilometers with a diameter of about 20 kilometers, is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. During your 5–6 hour game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and possibly the rare black rhino.

After your crater exploration, you will return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon (approximately 5:00–6:00 pm), marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
