Detailed Itinerary - Day by Day:

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be welcomed by your Serengeti Wakanda representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Receive a short safari briefing and spend the evening at leisure, enjoying hotel amenities or exploring Arusha town.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart at 8:00 a.m. for a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees, the park offers excellent wildlife viewing.

Explore seasonal swamps, savannah plains, and the Tarangire River from your open-roof safari vehicle. Expect encounters with elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Matete, then continue afternoon game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward Central Serengeti. Enjoy game drives along the way, spotting lions, leopards, zebras, and wildebeest.

Stop at a Maasai village for a cultural experience and have a picnic lunch en route. Arrive in Central Serengeti for an afternoon game drive, then check in at your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Central Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring Central Serengeti (Seronera region), known for its high concentration of predators and abundant wildlife. Your guide will take you to the best areas for wildlife sightings and photography.

Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight under the African sky.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ndutu (Southern Plains)

After breakfast, depart for the Ndutu region, the heart of the Great Migration calving grounds. Explore the short-grass plains where thousands of wildebeest give birth, creating dramatic predator-prey interactions and exceptional photographic opportunities.

Day 6: Full Day in Ndutu

Enjoy a full day of game drives across the Ndutu plains, following migrating herds and observing newborn calves. This area is also prime for predator sightings, with lions, cheetahs, and hyenas often active.

Optional: Take a hot air balloon safari (additional cost) for a breathtaking aerial view of the migration. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early for a morning game drive in Ndutu, then drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to elephants, lions, zebras, and the endangered black rhino.

Afterward, ascend the crater and continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Karatu to Arusha / Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your onward flight, concluding your 8-day Serengeti calving safari.
