3-Day Tanzania Safari from Zanzibar – Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara

Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Your luxury safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Zanzibar hotel and a private transfer to the airport. You’ll board a light aircraft for a scenic flight to Arusha, where your professional safari guide will be waiting to welcome you.

From Arusha, you’ll enjoy a comfortable drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees and impressive elephant populations. Your game drive is conducted in a private open-roof safari vehicle, allowing excellent wildlife viewing across open savannahs, seasonal wetlands, and along the Tarangire River.

As the day draws to a close, you’ll transfer to your lodge for a relaxing evening, gourmet dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you’ll travel approximately 90 minutes to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most extraordinary natural wildlife sanctuaries.

Spending around 6 hours on the crater floor, you’ll encounter an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. You’ll enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Picnic Site, overlooking the serene Hippo Lake.

In the afternoon, you’ll ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Zanzibar

Following breakfast, you’ll drive about 40 minutes to Lake Manyara National Park, a jewel of the Northern Circuit nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

During your game drive, you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, baboons, and an impressive variety of birdlife. Lake Manyara is particularly famous for its tree-climbing lions, offering a unique safari experience amidst groundwater forests, open plains, and lakeshore scenery.

After the safari, you’ll transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your refined safari experience.
