Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly met by our representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha.
Pre-tour accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport and transferred to Under the Shade Safari Lodge.
If your arrival time allows, you may opt for an Arusha city tour, including visits to Cultural Heritage Art Gallery, the local market, and the Maasai Market.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart at around 7:40 AM for Tarangire National Park, approximately a two-hour drive.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Game drives will take you through seasonal swamps, savannah landscapes, and along the Tarangire River, home to giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, wildebeests, elands, warthogs, and abundant birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint, followed by afternoon game viewing. Later, drive to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro Highlands. The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours, offering scenic views and wildlife sightings along the way.

Weather permitting, stop briefly at the Ngorongoro Crater Viewpoint for panoramic views of the caldera. Enjoy a picnic lunch before entering Serengeti for an afternoon game drive across its endless plains.

After sunset, proceed to Signature Serengeti Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive

Spend the entire day exploring Serengeti National Park, starting with an early morning game drive. The park is renowned for its exceptional wildlife density, offering excellent chances to spot the Big Five.

Beyond large mammals, Serengeti is home to over 500 bird species, from ostriches and secretary birds to soaring eagles. After a full day of wildlife viewing and scenic exploration, return to Signature Serengeti Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active. Afterward, enjoy a bush breakfast, then continue game viewing until late morning.

Later, depart Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight, enjoying spectacular views of the crater rim.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife areas. The crater hosts an extraordinary concentration of animals, including the rare black rhino, large tusked elephants, lions, buffaloes, flamingos, and many other species.

Enjoy a 5-hour game drive exploring forests, open plains, swamps, and the soda lake before ascending the crater walls. Later, drive to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park known for its birdlife, groundwater forest, and tree-climbing lions.

During your game drive, you may see flamingos, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, monkeys, and baboons. The park’s varied landscapes range from forested areas to open plains and dramatic escarpment views.

After the game drive, return to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport can be arranged. For Zanzibar connections, we recommend booking a flight from 19:40 onwards.
