Detailed Itinerary - Day by Day:

Day 1: Arusha to Northern Serengeti (Fly-In)

Your safari begins with a transfer from your hotel in Arusha to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to the Northern Serengeti. The one-hour scenic flight offers spectacular aerial views of Tanzania’s landscapes before landing at Kogatende Airstrip around late morning.

Upon arrival, your professional safari guide will meet you and begin your first game drive in the Northern Serengeti. You will head toward the Mara River area, where the Great Migration crossings take place during the season. Witnessing thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempting to cross crocodile-filled waters is one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife spectacles.

In the late afternoon, proceed to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Northern Serengeti

Start the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Today is dedicated to exploring the Northern Serengeti and tracking the movement of the migration herds.

In addition to river crossings, this region offers excellent sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and cheetahs. The area is also rich in birdlife, with over 500 species recorded, including ostriches, secretary birds, and various raptors.

After a full day of wildlife viewing, return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

Begin with a sunrise game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. After check-out, continue with a game drive toward the Mara River for another opportunity to witness migration activity.

Later, travel south toward Central Serengeti (Seronera area), enjoying wildlife viewing along the way. Central Serengeti is well known for its resident predators and abundant year-round wildlife. The open plains and kopjes provide ideal habitats for lions and leopards.

Arrive at your luxury tented camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart Serengeti with a transfer game drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy wildlife sightings along the route as you exit the park.

Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, descend approximately 600 meters to the crater floor for a game drive lasting about five hours. The crater supports an extraordinary density of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, lions, and the rare black rhino.

After exploring this remarkable ecosystem, ascend the crater and transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.

Enjoy a game drive through the park’s varied landscapes, including open savannah, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, which attracts numerous animals. You may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and a wide variety of bird species.

In the afternoon, return to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
