4-Day Northern Tanzania Safari from Zanzibar – Classic Wildlife Tour

Day 1: Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar and a transfer to the airport. You’ll fly to Serengeti on a light aircraft, with a brief stop at Arusha Airport.

Upon landing at Seronera Airstrip, your safari guide will meet you and take you on your first game drive through Central Serengeti, starting around 11:00 am. This area is known for its abundant wildlife and vast open plains.

In the evening, you’ll head to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day of safari in Serengeti, starting early in the morning. You’ll search for the Big Five and many other animals, including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.

With over 500 bird species, Serengeti also offers exceptional birdwatching opportunities. After an exciting day, you’ll return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll depart around 7:00 am on a scenic transfer game drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

By mid-morning, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas. You’ll spend about five hours exploring the crater floor, where you may see black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and flamingos.

Later, you’ll continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park – Return to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you’ll drive approximately 90 minutes to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

You’ll enjoy a game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, spotting elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, and a wide variety of bird species.

Around midday, you’ll leave the park and transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.
